January In Photographs

January 2010 has been a month full of transition, firsts and new beginnings. It's been a wild ride of a month, but as you'll see below, we've been laughing and smiling all the way through!
Wyatt outgrew his baby tub, so we transitioned to this mini tub - Wyatt was trying it out on dry land. He certainly looks "cool".

My men sleeping - I couldn't help but snap a picture.

Yes, Wyatt's pulling himself up on things and loves to stand!

Wyatt's a fast little mover and LOVES the weekly paper signs we try to take his picture with...the paper signs seemed like a good idea when he was two weeks old, now I'm thinking laminated signs would have been better. :)

Wyatt attached this laughing bear from grandma and grandpa Lindley - he loves it!

Daddy turned his back for a second, looked over and discovered that Wyatt can now climb stairs...Wyatt was already up on the third stair.

...so it was time for some gates.

Wyatt's First Christmas

Wyatt had a great first Christmas! He loved all of his toys and everyone's presents (especially the wrapping paper). Didn't Wyatt make a super cute elf!!!

Wyatt's Dedication

While in Idaho, we had Wyatt Dedicated at Nampa First Church of the Nazarene. The pastor at that church is the same pastor who married us over 9 years ago in Seattle, Washington. We thought it would be so special to have him dedicate Wyatt and were thrilled that so many family and friends were able to celebrate with us.

My brother, Brent also said a prayer of dedication for Wyatt. What a special blessing for all of us - and what a lucky boy Wyatt is!

Both of Wyatt's Great Grandmothers were able to travel from Washington state to come to the dedication. This is Great Grandma Peterson, my father's mom.

This is Great Grandma Lindley, Jonathan's father's mom. (Papa Lindley is also in the picture)

Peterson Portraits 2009

For the Christmas Holiday, we traveled to Idaho. On December 18, my folks hired a photographer to come to their house and take some pictures of our family. Here are a few samples of those pictures. I must say, Wyatt did really really well, better than I could have expected.
These are pictures of my parents, my brother and sister-in-law and their two kids, Noah (7) and Lexi (4), and of course, us (Wyatt's 8 months old).

This fire truck was a present to Wyatt from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. It ended up working well as a prop for the photo too!

Meeting Santa

Early in December, we thought it was time for Wyatt to meet Santa. We started out by having him meet the Chick-fil-a cow dressed as Santa...that went OK.

Next, it was time for the big guy. To my surprise, Santa was hanging out in the food court, so I thought we'd check to see how Wyatt reacted to Santa before we got our formal pictures. Drum roll......... he wasn't real thrilled.

But, I would not be discouraged, so decided we'd still try the formal pictures on Santa's lap. Luckily, those ended up turning out really well. I couldn't decide if I wanted Wyatt to have the hat on or not, so we took pictures both ways. Isn't he a cutie pie!

Not sure what he asked Santa for, but Wyatt's been a good boy this year, so I'm sure he'll get what he asked for. :)
